The New Breed began in 1987, when Pararescue and Combat Control merged their selections into a single 10 week course designed to break most and reveal the few. No shortcuts, no second chances. It was cold water, endless reps, and silence. The first class graduated less than a dozen. For nearly two decades, this was the crucible. No frills, no favors, just raw grit and rejection.
